Day three, still doing the same pace, walk 6/ run 3. I jumped right into it today. Deagan and I walked Olivia to school like we do everyday and then kept going around the neighborhood to do my program. I felt great, no issues, just getting it done. Deagan on the other hand..... oh man. 35 minutes into it he was just a whiney ball of a hot mess. Stopping every few seconds throwing a screaming fit threatening to ditch his bike (yeah right kid, that's in your top five list of possessions). I just kept on moving. Figuring he's got to know that I mean business, and I'm not stopping. Besides we're too far away from home to stop now anyway. He was bored and decided that it would be fun to stick his right foot into the spokes of his front wheel while riding and see what happens. Well his bike came to a complete stop with his body flying OVER the handle bars. Dammit Deagan. So I stop. I console, I hug and love and do what any mom would do- sit his butt right back on his bike and tell him never to do it again and get his butt moving. :) Hey, I've got no choice. If I stopped every time he did.... I'd never get anywhere!
So we managed to make it the full hour. I ended up owing him a piece of candy and a disney movie;)
_ funny thing happened at the end. My jogging stroller has a long tether like strap that you're supposed to put around your wrist or something so that the baby never accidentally goes flying away from you, should you fall or something. Yeah well, that strap accidentally fell to the ground and I STEPPED ON IT WHILE RUNNING, causing the e-brake of the stroller to snap on and hault it completely. Thus thrusting the stroller handle into my stomach and me half way over it, completely waking up the sleeping baby inside. Yeah, lesson learned, that felt great!
