I've got a DOUBLE EAR INFECTION. Seriously! Do I really need a speedbump this early in the game?
I haven't even lost much weight yet and I was just getting into my 30 day shred program:(
But my equilibrium is messed up and my ear/neck is throbbing.... so I'm going to lay low.
grrrrr... I'm destined to NEVER be in a bathing suit this summer! Heck I'd settle for just shorts!

Baby it's cold outside!!!
Ok so I haven't posted in awhile... didn't exercise for awhile either! I went into the first week of December, getting my running lengths longer than my walking. I think I was up to running 6 and walking 3. Pretty good, and with no challenge really.
...Then it got cold. REALLY cold. I thought Virginia was supposed to stay in the low 50s most of the winter, but apparently not this year. We've had a massive cold front bear down on us and it's not friendly for mommy's and babies in strollers.
When it's in the 20s and teens with 20 mph winds and light snow dustings I can't exactly take the baby outside for a run. And my husband's work schedule isn't consistent enough for me to be able to rely on him to be home during daylight hours. (It's dark here by 5pm, remember we are on the farthest end of the time zone).
So, that being said, I'm not totally confident of my ability to run an 8k race in March without being able to train for it appropriately:(
The good news is that while taking three weeks off (gulp) I managed to NOT GAIN A POUND. Even thought I ate everything that was in front of me, I didn't gain any weight of the few pounds that I actually lost in November.
Now that it's January and STILL freezing outside, I've decided to do this new workout DVD inside during Tessa's morning nap. It's called the 30-day Shred. It's with Jillian Michael's, the trainer from The Biggest Loser show. It's 10 days of three different levels, promising up to 20 lb weight loss. Well I'm hoping, realistically, for 10. A nice little winter jump start. Then maybe when it warms up, I can add back in some running!
So for now I'm on day two of the workout DVD and it's going well. Day 1 was a breeze. Day 2 was a little more challenging because I was SORE from Day 1. We'll see how it goes:)
